DESCRIPTION The Aquatic Supervisor provides overall facility management of the outdoor Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad. Duties include but are not limited to planning, risk management, training and development of staff, oversight of programs, budgeting, purchasing, promotion of facilities and programs, problem-solving and customer service.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS •Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates 90 Water Park Staff including certifying Lifeguards in Ellis & Associates program. Supervises all Water Park programs including swim lessons, the Jr. Lifeguard program and other aquatic programs and plans and runs Water Park Special Events. •Oversees all Water Park rentals. •Conducts CPR/AED classes for staff and holds classes for the community. •Creates and implements risk management protocol at the Water Park. •Devises new program and facility ideas at the Water Park. •Develops, implements and oversees membership programs, promotions and events that attract and integrate new members, build relationships and help to retain members for the Water Park. •Budget preparation for areas of responsibility. •Responsible for all receipts and disbursements relating to Water Park. •Work with Marketing Department to develop a marketing plan. Provide program information for seasonal brochures. Distribute program marketing materials.
QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor’s degree from a college or university, Recreation degree preferred or 5 years’ experience in Aquatics and/or Facility Management •Lifeguard Instructor and CPR/AED Instructor through Ellis & Associates. •Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or ability to receive within 6 months. •License in Food Service Sanitation from IDPH or the ability to receive licensure in 3 months. •Good written and oral communication skills. •The ability to solve problems comprehensively and to produce accurate work on a timely basis. •Proficient in utilizing social media such as Facebook and Twitter. •Good computer skills, proficient with Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook and the Adobe suite. Experience with Rectrac registration system preferred. •Ability to drive a vehicle.

HOURS: Minimum 40 hours per week including evenings and weekends during Water Park season.
