JOB SUMMARY Responsible for implementation, deployment, monitoring and maintaining the Park District computer hardware, software, and other related technology equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Administration of the Park District’s IT Work Order/Ticketing system, including providing Tier 1 support for end-user requests and assigning tickets to other IT staff when necessary • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user desktops, mobile devices (phones, tablets, desktops, and laptops) • Responding to and resolving alerts and notifications from anti-virus and anti-malware systems • Administration of desktop imaging software (Symantec Ghost and Acronis True Image) for annual desktop deployments, off-cycle deployments, and disaster recovery • Maintenance and administration of the District’s IT Asset Management system(s) • Coordination of setup and tear-down for temporary Audio/Visual setups for meetings and special events • Administration of Mobile Device Management programs (Maas360, Meraki SM) • Provide assistance to the Systems Administrator during workstation patching and policy deployment • Perform minor Systems Administration tasks when required, including password resets • Installation, maintenance, and monitoring of Genetec security system software and Axis security cameras throughout the Park District; provide end-user support for staff authorized to access video • Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules. • Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Effective communication skills, both orally and written; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical end-users • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Strong knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows 7, 8.1, and 10, Mac OS X) and working knowledge of server Operating Systems and roles (e.g. Active Directory, DHCP, DNS) • In-depth knowledge of hardware components such as motherboards, ram, processor chips, video cards, etc. • Subject to modified/flexible work schedule including nights and weekends. • Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associates degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Actual work experience installing and maintaining Windows network and PC software applications. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
