Duties:

Under the direct supervision of the executive director, the director of finance and administration is responsible for the overall financial, business, and information technology operations of the District. This position directly supervises the superintendent of business, information technology manager, and advertising & sponsorship manager, and an overall departmental staff of 14. This position oversees multiple projects, including but not limited to capital planning, annual financial audit, annual budget process, annual tax levy, annual budget/appropriation ordinance, and all on-going financial reporting and analysis for the District. This position assists the executive director and will play a key role in the District’s upcoming comprehensive master plan (CMP). This position will serve as the administrative manager for the Friends of HEParks Foundation and be responsible for the 501C3 Foundation’s financial reporting utilizing QuickBooks and filing all required state and federal reporting including appropriate tax documents. The District has 77 full-time employees, 600 part-time and seasonal employees and operates with an approximate annual budget of $20 million for over 50,000 residents.

Qualifications:

Minimum of eight years of full-time experience in a related field, with at least four years of supervisory experience. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in finance, accounting, business administration, or other related field is required. Valid Driver’s License is required. Master’s Degree, CPA, and CPRP/CPRE are all preferred. Experience with VSI RecTrac, FinTrac, MainTrac, and BS&A Financial Software strongly desired.
