QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a high school diploma and meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years of age. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. Activenet registration software preferred. Experience working with parks and recreation agency preferred. CPR certification or ability to receive within 6 months of hire. Individual must be flexible, enthusiastic, creative and a self-starter. Demonstrated passion for working with all age groups. Must be able to work well with others. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and have the ability to multi-task. Candidate should possess strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving, and excellent customer service skills. DUTIES: Reporting to the Deputy Director of Recreation, the Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for overseeing front desk operations. • Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and supervising all part-time front desk attendants. • Have knowledge of and be able to promote all park district programs and facilities. • Responsible for managing the electronic sign board and REACH system. • Responsible for processing all Recreation Complex program registrations including but not limited to fitness and pool memberships, payment plans, transfers, refunds and rentals. WORK HOURS: This is a non-exempt, part-time, IMRF position requiring 20-29 hours per week. Shifts are M-F 8:30am- 1pm, with occasional nights and weekends.
