The Elmhurst Park District, established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago, exists to provide experiences for the lifetime enjoyment of people who live and play in our community. This individual is responsible for supervising and maintaining the operation of the Hub and other facilities.
JOB SUMMARY • Responsible for the daily operation of the Hub • Plan, organize, implement, evaluate and supervise special events • Recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff • Monitor adherence to safe food handling procedures • Ensure that employees are provided necessary training in usage of tools, equipment, machinery and personal protective equipment • Prepare and monitor budget, and manage it within guidelines including accurate preparation and completion of financial paperwork • Maintain inventory controls through tracking, determine best source of purchasing and establish cost of goods • Act as liaison to community groups, including serving on Athletic Field Advisory Committee • Schedule rentals and birthday parties at the Hub QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality or Leisure Studies or related field, or equivalent work experience, with 3 years’ experience in business and food handling and 2 years supervisory experience • Food Service Sanitation License
The hours are varied with some evenings and weekends as needed.
