The Northbrook Park District is seeking a Marketing Specialist. This position is full-time with benefits, with a minimum of 40 hours a week. The position entails project management work involving the execution of marketing strategies; marketing of park district programs, events and amenities utilizing social media and other resources in coordination with the goals of the District; oversees projects in a collaborative manner for the Marketing and Communications department. Responsibilities include marketing promotion, data analysis, website management and social media content.
Qualifications: A four-year degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field is required along with applicable work experience. A valid driver’s license is required. Social media management and WordPress skills required. An interest in parks and recreation is desired. Must have attention to detail, excellent writing skills and be able to create and implement marketing initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: Develops, implements and oversees results-oriented promotional initiatives focused on increasing awareness of and participation in park district programs, events and amenities utilizing various marketing strategies. Develops marketing plans in coordination with the Marketing and Communications Director. Executes content marketing strategies including storytelling and relationship marketing. Analyzes user segmentation and demographics for evaluation. Knowledge of video recording, editing, mixing and producing. Collaborates on graphic design and print production.
