Summary: Under the supervision and guidance of the Recreation Manager, the Recreation Coordinator is responsible for all areas of front desk operations at Centennial Ice Arena. Works shifts are variable and will include evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities: The Recreation Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be as follows:•Hire, train, schedule and supervise Front Desk Attendants •Oversee cash handling procedures at Centennial Ice Arena as well as audit daily shift and closing reports •Oversee program and membership registration and effectively handle registration issues •Create and update programs and memberships for registration using the recreation management software •Oversee facility rental reservations for gymnastics/skating, including agreements, payments and scheduling •Coordinate quarterly brochure edits and create and maintain programs in the registration software •Assist with planning and running community activities and special events •Perform other Park District-related duties as assigned
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with preference given to person holding a four-year college degree from a recognized college or university. Must have at least 2 years supervisory experience; at least 3 years working in customer service or as a front desk attendant; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Classification: Full-time, non-exempt. Hours and schedules may vary depending on seasonal workload and needs.
