In this hands on role, your core responsibilities center around the recruitment of employees and volunteers. Position highlights include; managing the several stages of the recruitment life-cycle process which includes: posting open positions, screening candidates, coordinating hiring requirements, closing candidate records within applicant tracking system, and assisting with on boarding of new employees. Management of our volunteer program includes:​ volunteer recruitment, scheduling and recording hours for the volunteers, and recognition for all park district volunteers and affiliates. A more comprehensive job description will be provided at the interview.

​The right candidate will have the equivalent of two or more years of experience in Human Resources, Volunteer Management, Parks & Recreation, or Non- Profit Management experience. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Non-Profit management, Public Administration, or closely related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training. ​Strong communication skills. Ability and aptitude to align employee and volunteer interest/skills to the needs of the District.
