We have an exciting part-time job opportunity for a GIRLS COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS HEAD COACH to join our team and be part of an organization that values being community focused, providing customer service excellence, working with integrity, and having fun!

WHAT YOU’LL DO: As the Head Coach, you'll provide leadership for the Competitive Team program including participant and community relations; instructing patrons, overseeing safety and supervising coaching staff.

Additional responsibilities include:

Plan, prepare and supervise weekly, monthly and annual team practices and competition schedules.

Lead training and development of all levels of the gymnastics on the team as well as support recreation classes.

Enforce proper spotting techniques, skill progressions and development.

Direct and assist in daily upkeep of the gymnastics facility; including cleaning and proper storage of

equipment after practices.

Attend and supervise gymnasts at gymnastics competitions and assign assistant coaches.

Attend continuing education meetings, coaching seminars and workshops.

Carry out plans, organize, and lead daily operations as assigned.

Work cooperatively with a growing program and participate in collaborative activities.

Identify problems or issues and develop effective solutions, resolve complex problems and gain cooperation.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

High school graduate or equivalent, with some college preferred and 2 year of experience as a competitive gymnast and/or coach.

Current USA Gymnastics Safety Certification and Professional Membership.

WHEN YOU’LL WORK: Afternoon and evenings Monday-Friday in the Summer; Evenings, Saturdays and weekend Competitions in the Fall. 20-29 hours/week.

WHAT YOU’LL GET: Starting at $21.00 per hour but final pay rate depends on qualifications (DOQ); IMRF eligible position, up to 29 hours per week earning sick and vacation time
