Aquatic & Fitness Facility Supervisor
POSITION: Our current Supervisor is moving to parks & recreation in Wisconsin, and we are looking for an energetic, hard working person who loves Aquatics & Fitness to join our Itasca Family! The Aquatic/Fitness Facility Supervisor is responsible for the planning, staffing, organization and implementation of the Itasca Fitness Center; scheduling, rentals and basic maintenance of the Itasca Park District Recreation Center; complete operations of the Itasca Waterpark (summer season); schedules and trains the recreation center building supervisors/custodial operations; and designated recreation programs/special events which are shared amongst the entire recreation department.

Qualifications:
Applicant must be 21 years or older. A Bachelor’s Degree in Park and Recreation Management or the equivalent in experience with recreation programs, fitness, aquatics and education is required. The individual should possess friendly and effective interpersonal, written, verbal and telephone communication skills. Individual must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications and able to learn other software packages. The individual will be expected to be or become a First-Aid and CPR/AED instructor, Ellis Instructor, obtain a Food & Service Sanitation License, AFO or CPO Certification and have a valid Illinois driver’s license.
Hours:
The Recreation Supervisor is a full-time salaried employee. General work hours are a minimum of 40 hours a week. General work hours take place Monday through Friday, but some evening and weekend hours are expected due to the nature of the programs under the Supervisor’s direction. There are required weekly evening shifts.
