Location: Cole Administration Building, 101 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, IL

Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid Illinois Driver’s License. High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Five (5) years progressive responsibility in park/grounds maintenance, supervisory experience preferred. Must also have or be able to obtain an Illinois Pesticide Operator’s License, Commercial Driver’s License CDL B and OSHA forklift certification within 3 months of hire date. Successful candidate must be approachable and have good communication skills. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours and days with overtime based on operational schedules and weather. Must be able to work with a positive attitude both independently or as part of a team. Strong mechanical aptitude as to how things work and function as it relates to equipment and irrigation systems. Documented experience with various power tools and landscape equipment required. Previous snow and ice control experience required..
Duties: Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Operations or their designee, the Sr. Park Grounds Maintenance Technician, must be sufficiently skilled to perform and supervise a wide variety of grounds care and maintenance work. This shall include task specific program or project supervision. This position shall be required to supervise full and part-time staff annually. This is an at-will position
