ABOUT US: The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 75,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, programs, events, parks and open spaces. Additionally, the Schaumburg Park District hosts thousands of visitors and guests annually at its sports activities and major tournaments.
JOB SUMMARY: The STP Manager is responsible for driving membership sales, engagement, and retention in pursuit of set financial goals. This includes increasing corporate and individual memberships, planning events, setting strategy for marketing/promotions, supervising membership services team, and reinforcing facility-wide customer service standards. Oversees the Contractual Tennis Director and aids Director in lessons, leagues and tournament development. Develops special events and creative ideas for utilization of facility. Responsible for budgeting, planning, scheduling, staffing, and program/rental administration related to tennis, racquetball, and fitness club, as well as bar & grill operations, birthday parties within the facility. Manages front desk operations, facility cleanliness, and general maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS: The best applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing; sports management; recreation, sport & tourism; or related field, along with at least three (3) years of related experience. Ellis Lifeguarding Certification, CPR, AED, first aid certification required within the first (6) months of employment. Valid Illinois driver’s license required.
SCHEDULING & PAY: This is a full-time exempt position. Core hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm with evening and weekend work required as necessary. Target hiring range is $50,000 - $55,000 DOQ (depending on qualifications).
