Qualifications: Must be a responsible and reliable person age 18 or older with strong customer service and management skills. Must have high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years supervisory/management experience. Must be able to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy and remain calm during emergencies. Prior cash handling experience preferred. Ellis and Associates Lifeguard certification preferred or ability to obtain by opening day of the outdoor aquatic facilities.
Duties: Perform duties under the direction of the Aquatics General Manager. The Outdoor Aquatics Manager position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire aquatic facility. The Outdoor Aquatics Manager responsibilities include maintaining control and monitoring the facility, staff and patrons, oversight of daily duties of head lifeguards, lifeguards, swim instructors, admissions staff, and birthday party hosts. The Outdoor Aquatics Manager maintains a presence in the facility, ensuring guest satisfaction, guest safety, and facility cleanliness. The Outdoor Aquatics Manager works closely with aquatics maintenance to ensure water quality and the cleanliness of pools and attractions. The Outdoor Aquatics Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive experience when visiting the outdoor aquatics facilities during open swim, programs, special events, field trips, group reservations, and birthday parties. The Outdoor Aquatics Manager leads the aquatics team in all aquatics emergencies in the park and ensures proper communication to the Aquatics General Manager and Emergency Management personnel. This is an at-will position.
