The Geneva Park District is seeking an enthusiastic visionary with an eye for excellence. The Geneva Park District is home to a wide array of facilities and programs and requires someone who is a self-starter, team oriented, and has a passion for serving the community.

The Superintendent of Recreation shall administer and coordinate all work activities of the Recreation Department personnel. The Recreation Department hosts thousands of programs per year, a wide range of special events and operates a variety of facilities (two community centers, two swimming pools, spray grounds, two fitness centers, a cultural arts theater, preschool, miniature golf course, Peck Farm Park, community gardens, gymnasiums).

Graduate from a college or university with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or a closely related field, eight years progressive management experience in the parks and recreation profession with at least three years of administrative experience including the supervision of full-time staff. A Certified Park and Recreation Professional with a record of ongoing participation in continuing education preferred.
