Under the direction of the Superintendent of Recreation -

The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and budgeting for operations at the Aquatic Center, including swim programs and concessions. Other direct responsibilities include planning, organizing, and budgeting for Special Events, Dance Program, and Adult Program operations.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's Degree in Park and Recreation Management or a related field is required.

Experience in operating recreation programs and facilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience will ensure success in this position.

Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Instructor Certificate preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Certified Pool Operator Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Three years experience in an aquatic environment is preferred.

Drivers license required.

Position is a non-exempt full-time year-round salary position. District offers a benefit package which includes 100% paid family medical and dental. It also includes IMRF pension, vacation, holiday and sick time. Position may include evening, weekends and holidays.
