Girls Boxing Coach- Part Time
Box United exists to help girls become their strongest, most confident selves inside and outside of boxing. We run a program called Fight Like a Girl, a comprehensive 10-week program that increases girls’ confidence, body image, and self compassion.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides instruction and supervision for Box United athletes
Demonstrates proper techniques and boxing skill- boxing background is not required
Adapts programs to reflect differing levels of participant skill development
Promotes sportsmanship and encourages creativity in participants
Communicates constructively with participants, parents, volunteers and the community
Enforces and promotes safety guidelines for the sport of boxing
Resolve conflicts among participants
Issues and maintains an inventory of specialized equipment and supplies
Performs general administrative duties such as assisting in program registration, collecting fees, answering routine inquiries in person or by phone and routine record keeping.
Attends workshops and in-service training seminars
The program will begin on February 13,2023 and run for one hour a week for ten weeks. Ideal candidates will have a passion for sports and gender equity, have strong organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications:
2-5 years experience with youth sports programs
Reliable transportation
Organizational skills
