Mechanic II

Summary:

Responsible for performing inspections, adjustments and repairs as necessary to Park District vehicles and equipment (i.e. trucks, tractors, automobiles and small engine equipment). Knowledge and ability to service and repair gasoline 4 cycle, 2 cycle, diesel engines and hydraulic systems; with the ability to service and repair small engine equipment as well.

This position is eligible for a full benefit package, including (but not limited to): IMRF participation, optional savings through 457, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, facility usage,and EAP.

General Hours:

This is an FLSA non-exempt position. Four 10 hour days (Tuesday – Friday / 6:30AM -5:00 PM), 40-hour work week, with additional hours as necessary, including emergency on-call hours. Overtime is required, but not guaranteed, and based on the needs of the Division and the District as a whole.
