The Buffalo Grove Park District is accepting applications for a Full-time Parks Specialist. The Parks Specialist is responsible for undertaking and completing general park maintenance and assisting with special projects and special events. Hours may vary, some, which may be scheduled during holidays or weekend periods during special events. The Park Specialist must be available to work overtime as required. The Parks Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position.

Qualifications:

A high school degree or equivalent.

A minimum of one year experience in park maintenance or related field.

Must be at least 18 years old

Be available to work overtime as required.

Have a valid Illinois driver's license and the ability to upgrade to a class "C" license within six months of employment.

Have an Illinois Public Pesticide Operators License or be able to acquire one within one year of employment.

Must pass pre-employment screenings and background check.

Starting Hourly Wage:

$18.50 per hour + depending on experience
