Building Maintenance Technician
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing building maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, and HV/AC) for all Park District facilities, and pool maintenance during the summer for the Aquatic Center. The Building Maintenance Technician may also be called on to assist with snow plowing in the winter. Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following trades: HV/AC, plumbing, or electrical, and a Highschool Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years professional experience within a park system or equivalent setting. Candidates should have experience operating the power tools associated with facilities maintenance and some large equipment including, but not limited to, lifts, compact loaders, compact excavators, and dump trucks.
To be a successful Building Maintenance Technician, you should have knowledge of building systems, outdoor water systems, and swimming pool maintenance. The Building Maintenance Technician should also have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
