JOB SUMMARY  

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team, specializing in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, and HVAC units. Responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and safety standards. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Respecting and protecting facility resources, including 15 historical buildings and numerous artifacts, plus sensitive native and endangered plant species. The site has 154 acres and 3 miles of trails. Following National Historic Landmark and Illinois Nature Preserves Commission guidelines. Performs all seasonal work assignments such as special event set up and snow removal.

 

Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a valid IL driver’s license. Associate’s degree or professional certification in a building trade or related field required. Will consider significant and material experience in lieu of formal education.  Experience:  5-7 years relevant experience required. Valid IL driver’s license required.

 

This is a full-time position working Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Additional availability required for overtime, special events, and emergencies.  Schedule has potential to change based on seasonal demands. 

Target hiring range starts at $33.00/hour depending on qualifications.
