We have an exciting full-time job opportunity as PARKS SPECIALIST - ATHLETICS!
WHAT YOU’LL DO: The position is responsible for performing all aspects of athletic field maintenance throughout the District including field layout, striping, grooming, renovations, inspections, and turf repairs. Additional general park maintenance duties include mowing, tree removal, pesticide applications, trash collection, special events, and snow removal.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Prior experience with athletic field maintenance in synthetic and natural turf repair are preferred.
- 2-3 years of park maintenance experience and the ability to operate associated equipment is preferred
- A State of Illinois Pesticide Operator’s License required within 6 months of hire
- Illinois Class “C” driver’s license upon employment
WHEN YOU’LL WORK:
- Workweek is Monday – Friday and hours are 6:30am - 3:00pm, with overtime for tournament setup, special events, and snow removal.
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
- The anticipated starting pay for this non-exempt position is $43,005. Actual salary will depend upon qualifications.
- This position falls under Pay Grade 1 with a pay range of $40,005 - $56,007.
