Facility Maintenance Manager, Full-Time, Exempt, IMRF (Pension)
The Park Ridge Park District is seeking an individual to oversee the facility maintenance operation of the District including planning, organizing and managing the maintenance and/or replacement of equipment, fixtures, furnishings and structures at all Park District buildings and revenue facilities. Will directly be responsible for managing full-time, part-time, seasonal maintenance staff (which include those covered under a collective bargaining agreement) and contractors in the daily operations of facility maintenance that include, but are not limited to, custodial, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, ice rink mechanicals, artificial turf, pool filtration and water chemistry.
Qualifications: Three to four years of management experience in facility maintenance with a strong background in developing and implementing routine maintenance plans and safety protocols. The ability to maintain a positive work relationship with staff and the public is essential. A successful candidate will be collaborative, supportive and open to ideas.
Education: Two to three years of occupationally specific training beyond high school, an Associate’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Availability: Typical work-week is Monday through Friday, with evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to successfully carry out the essential functions of the job.
