Administrative Assistant, Part-Time, IMRF (Pension)
The Lombard Park District seeks an enthusiastic, fun, and motivated individual to assist the Superintendent of Parks with the operation of the Parks Department. The position is a 30 hours week and offers flexible work hours between 9am to 3pm.

High school diploma or Associates degree preferred. The ability to communicate effectively with staff and public, great customer service skills and prior customer experience are desirable.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent of Parks by handling administrative responsibilities, duties, and additional support.
- Perform special administration tasks and duties of a confidential nature. Assist Superintendent of Parks in doing research, preparing reports, creating processes and forms, and following through on tasks as necessary.
- Assist in evaluating and improving internal communication of Parks Department staff.
- Assist the Superintendent of Parks updating the Parks section of the District’s procedure manual.
- Perform Parks Department special projects and other parks administration duties as required or assigned.
- Act as a liaison for the Parks Department and other District staff, contractors, vendors, partners, and the public.
- Assist the Superintendent of Parks with staff recognition initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and secure office supplies for the department.
- Work closely with Risk Management to document, track and, find training opportunities for Parks staff.
- Track and audit available time off for department staff.
- Create and maintain files on all alarm codes for the District.
- Maintain computerized key files for the Parks Department.
- Responsible for the memorial brick program. Maintain general department files and paperwork. Complete minor cleaning and maintenance of office machines
- Track, and file work orders and follow through on details as requested.
- Utilize and troubleshoot supporting software.
- Schedule and track facility inspections and repairs with vendors.
- Assist the Superintendent of Parks in maintaining the plats files for District properties and buildings.
- Prepare monthly vandalism report for the monthly board report.
- Assist the Superintendent of Parks with compiling and typing of the monthly board reports and the weekly update information.
- Provide administrative support to other District departments as assigned.
