The Village of Orland Park has various professional opportunities for responsible, committed, team-oriented, task-driven and highly motivated undergrad and graduate students who are looking to gain a hands-on experience in their chosen professional field of study. Departments included in the internship program include Engineering, Public Works, Development Services, Recreation, Department of Information Technology, Finance, Village Manager’s Office and the Mayor’s Office. Each selected intern will provide support to and receive mentorship from leaders within the department specific to the education received. Undergrad and graduate applicants are encouraged to apply.

A hands-on experience in recreation programming, special events, heritage sites, fitness, aquatics and early childhood education. Seeking three, one semester internships over the course of the year.
Undergrad Intern: Basic knowledge of skill(s) needed to perform assigned duties.
Undergrad Intern: Basic knowledge of skill(s) needed to perform assigned duties.
Graduate Intern: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of study; working knowledge of skill(s) needed to perform assigned duties.

Compensation & Benefits $18.00 – $25.00 per hour. Short-term and long-term internships are available.
