Athletics Coordinator Part-Time/IMRF

Incorporated in 1955 and encompassing more than 454 acres, the Mt. Prospect Park District provides outstanding recreational programs, events, parks, facilities and services. With seven primary facilities and 27 neighborhood parks, the Park District is an integral part of a thriving multi-generational community. District open space includes two outdoor pools, biking and walking paths, a dog park and sizable space for outdoor athletic programming. The District covers over 11 square miles and serves a region of over a quarter million residents in Mount Prospect and surrounding communities. 

We are searching for a Part-Time IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Pension) Athletics Coordinator. The PT-IMRF Athletics Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the District’s youth and adult athletics leagues and directly supervising select youth and adult programs and all athletic equipment operations. Responsibilities include registration procedures, communication with involved parties, setting schedules and other administrative duties. The PT-IMRF Athletics Coordinator will also assist with facility and field supervision on an as needed basis. 

The PT-IMRF Athletics Coordinator can expect to work two weekday shifts, one weeknight shift, one midday shift and one weekend shift per week, averaging 21-27 hours per week and less than 1,500 hours annually. Weekday shift hours will vary between 8am-5pm, weeknight shifts will vary between 2pm-10pm, midday shifts will vary between 10am-7pm, and weekend shifts will vary between 8am-5pm. Shift times may vary based on program needs, special events, or facility requirements. The PT-IMRF Athletics Coordinator must be at least 18 years old, hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. 

The pay rate for the PT-IMRF Athletics Coordinator is $18 - $21 per hour, depending on qualifications. Plus, we offer park district facility and programming usage benefits, vacation and holiday pay, IMRF pension benefits and a deferred compensation savings plan.
