The Vernon Hills Park District is seeking an experienced and motivated Recreation Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations, programming, and staffing of multiple recreation facilities, including Lakeview Fitness, Sullivan Community Center, and Turtle Creek Waterpark.
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Recreation, this leadership role is responsible for supervising recreation and customer service staff, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations, supporting high-quality recreational programming, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. The position also plays a key role in budgeting, staff development, interdepartmental collaboration, and long-term planning to enhance facility usage and community impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation, Facility Management, or a related field with at least six years of progressive experience in recreation or facility management (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills required. CPRP certification preferred.
