Aquatic Center Manager

The Village of Hawthorn Woods Parks and Recreation seeks a seasonal non-exempt Aquatic Center Manager. Term of employment will be March through August, approximately. This position is responsible of managing all activities, operations, and programs of the Hawthorn Woods Aquatic Center. This role ensures the facility meets safety and operational standards while supporting a high-quality experience for visitors. Responsibilities include staff supervision of lifeguards and front desk staff. They will oversee aquatic program including swim lessons, swim team, and diving lessons. They will assist with the maintenance of the facility, including maintaining safe water quality.

Qualifications
Candidates must be 21 years of age by May 1, 2026. Applicants must have or be willing to obtain the American Red Cross Certifications in First Aid and CPR certification; must be a certified lifeguard instructor (LGI), Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification preferred. Applicants will be required to successfully pass a background check and drug test prior to employment
