Parks Maintenance Seasonal
Job Summary:
Under the general day-to-day supervision of the Parks Director maintains the Village Park grounds, Athletic Fields and supports Village events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates various types of light, and complex equipment used in the maintenance of the Village’s properties, facilities, parks, etc.
- Maintains turf areas including mowing and trimming.
- Communicates effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures that standards and time frames are adhered to.
- Adheres to safety protocols.
- Resolves resident complaints or directs them to Deputy Director
- Complies with the Village’s Drug Testing Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the maintenance and construction of Village property, facilities, and parks.
- OSHA safety requirements and standards.
- Significant responsibility for the care, condition, and use of mechanical materials, equipment, tools, etc.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment including all department trucks, snow removal and de-icing equipment, and mowers.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Related experience preferred.
Pay rate is $18.00 per hour for approximately 40 hours per week.
