TITLE: Soccer Coordinator (FLSA non-exempt) R 10.16
SUPERVISOR: Athletic Coordinator
The Soccer Coordinator will assist the Athletic Coordinator with the operation and implementation of various youth and adult soccer leagues. The Soccer Coordinator will communicate as directed with individuals involved with various soccer programs, frequently in the absence of the Athletic Coordinator. This may include rule interpretation, weather/safety procedure enforcement, supply distribution, official observation and evaluation, or other duties as assigned. The Soccer Coordinator shall also be responsible for equipment, uniforms, field/gym associates, and maintenance of the league scheduler portion of the website.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate with some college course work, related experience in youth sports development, athletic league development or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience in athletic programming, sports rules, and league organization.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Understand principles, practices, and objectives of community recreation, specifically athletic leagues.
Ability to work independently.
Valid Illinois driver’s license.
Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
Possess basic knowledge of computer operations including word, excel and other programs used by the Wheeling Park District.
Coaching in youth soccer program as needed
Officiating youth and adult soccer games as needed.
Assist Athletic Coordinator with entering scores and statistics for adult soccer leagues.
Assist Athletic Coordinator with the implementation of the youth and adult leagues.
Assist Athletic Coordinator with the concession operations at Wheeling High School.
Assist Athletic Coordinator with training coaches and staff.
Assist Athletic Coordinator with the recruitment of coaches and officials.

Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work, and safety rules.
Work as scheduled.
20-26 Hours per week This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights, weekends and may also include some holiday work.
$13.00 - $15.00 per Hour
