The Aquatics Supervisor will be responsible for the development and administration of the swim lesson program, swim team, indoor/outdoor pool management, pool rentals and group outings, and Jeff Ellis Management and Glenbard North High School communication. This position requires the coordination and supervision of all programmatic operations including staff hiring, training and management, brochure production, marketing, budget maintenance, revenue generation and expense control. A Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, other related field, or comparable experience in Aquatics is preferred. Must be able to work afternoons, nights, and occasional weekends. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi task, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and be able to provide excellent customer service.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field or equivalent experience preferred. • Minimum of two years Aquatics programming and pool management experience preferred. • Strong leadership, management and organizational skills. Detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Self-motivated and able to problem-solve with minimal direction. Strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to interact with all ages and levels of employees. Experience with budget management, negotiating, and analyzing financial reports. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Aquatic Facility Operator/Certified Pool Operator Certified or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment. • A valid Illinois drivers license is necessary. Must be able to pass a post-offer background check and physical.
