Sycamore Park District is seeking an Aquatics Manager with leadership ability to implement the activities of the Park District in accordance with the general policies established by the Board of Commissioners.
Duties: Provide a friendly and positive atmosphere for park district patrons, maintain professionalism, and uphold the image of the park district. Maintain supervision of operations and staff on a daily basis. Maintain pool schedules for assistant managers, lifeguards, and front desk staff. Accept direct responsibility for pool staff actions and all first aid procedures rendered. Lead all pre-season trainings and meetings. Conduct in-service trainings once a week. Assist patrons with questions and concerns about any pool matters.
Qualifications, Characteristics and Traits: •The ideal candidate is preferred to be at least 21 years old with a minimum of two years experience in a public aquatic facility in a management or supervisory capacity. •Possess an understanding of and experience in swimming pool operation fundamentals including; water quality maintenance, filter/mechanical system equipment and controls, scheduling of subordinate personnel, events, and lesson instruction. •American Red Cross Lifeguard and/or Lifeguard Instructor Certified, or willing to be certified.
