The Village of Romeoville is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. The purpose of this position is to prepare and market public information regarding the department’s programs, events, facilities and other activities, as well as assist with the Village’s website and social media. Such marketing will consist of news releases, advertisements, e-news, social media, various publications, and more.
The Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development of marketing goals, customer service needs, program surveys, and various department promotions. The preparation of seasonal brochures, flyers, newsletters, certificates, tickets, passes and other printed materials is required. This position is instrumental in marketing the Village’s special events, including the annual festival (RomeoFest). The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the special events sponsorship program. Taking photos and video of programs and events is required. The hours for this position are generally 9:00am to 5:00pm; however, additional nights and weekends are required as needed for events and programs. Other duties may be assigned. A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design or equivalent experience is required. Must be able to perform design and layout work. Experience with In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office is essential. Candidate must have experience and expertise in editing and writing. Photography experience preferred. This is a full-time, non-union position with excellent benefits including IMRF pension. Salary range is $59,000 to $69,000 depending on qualifications and/or experience.
