Summary: Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for the planning, implementing, and evaluation of the necessary program processes inclusive of, but not limited to Aquatics, Athletics, Cultural Arts, Early Childhood, Older Adults, general and specialized programming for all ages, special events/trips; facility management inclusive of, but not limited to swimming pools, athletic fields, tennis courts, outdoor ice rinks, Jewett Park Community Center, Patty Turner Center, and Sachs Recreation Center in order to provide comprehensive leisure services.
Supervision Received: Reports to the Executive Director.
Supervision Exercised: Directly supervises five professionals in recreational programs and preschool. Also indirectly supervises two or three other full time and up to 300 part-time recreational personnel.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• College degree with major in recreation and park administration. • Four or more years of administrative experience. • Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) and/or Certified Park & Recreation Executive (CPRE). • Valid driver’s license required.
