Job Summary:
Under the direction of Superintendent of District Services & Projects, the Communications & Marketing Manager is responsible for the operation and administration of the Communications & Marketing Division. Manager will supervise and direct the workflow of marketing, advertising, and community relations, including the organization and development of interdepartmental and external communications strategies that adhere to the District’s mission and values.
This position will supervise the full-time positions of Digital Marketing Coordinator, Community Outreach Coordinator, and Graphic Designer.
Position Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience. Three to five years related experience and/or training required. Valid State of Illinois Class “D” driver’s license. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Some experience with HTML, CSS, and WordPress preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Office 365. Strong photography skills. Attain (within six (6) months of employment) and maintain valid Adult & Child CPR/AED certification. A successful criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Compensation and Benefits:
The hiring salary range is $61,691-$67,861; starting salary is DOQ. The District offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and membership in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). The Park District benefits package also includes paid vacation, personal days, holidays, sick leave, and potential for annual merit increases.
