Summary: The EAGLES Support Staff is responsible for assisting with the EAGLES Adult Day Program at the Lemont Site (55 Stephen Street, Lemont, IL). This includes providing a safe learning environment for the participants and staff, assisting the EAGLES Manager and Site Director with program planning, lesson plans, and purchasing supplies.
Position Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Two years direct experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• 21 years of age or older and able to perform the job functions independently of others.
• Availability to commit to working Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:45a.m. – 3:15 p.m. year-round with some holiday breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist EAGLES Manager in the development, planning, and implementation of daily activities.
• Successfully work with full-time staff, EAGLES Site Director and other Support Staff, volunteers, parents, community partners, member entity staff, and individuals with special needs.
• Discuss any concerns and issues with EAGLES Manager.
• Participate and supervise in all planned activities.
• Be familiar with the physical, mental, and medical limitations of all participants; be prepared to provide appropriate attention to all participants in all situations.
• Ensure safety factors relative to the program and participant needs.
• Understand and use proper disciplinary techniques; provide behavior management when necessary.
• Be available to listen to parental concerns and answer questions on behalf of SEASPAR or refer questions to administrative staff.
• Create lesson plans which include appropriate activities, contacts, and timelines.
• Ensure that the facility/program site as well as any equipment is properly maintained.
• Read, understand, and abide by all SEASPAR policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Community Events Coordinator, this role will assist in a variety of special events and programs throughout the year. This is a Part- Time Seasonal position hours are flexible and may include some weekends and evenings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Gathering, compiling and preparing special reports marketing, planning, and coordinating each event/program. • This role will assist with planning and organizing a variety of recreation programs. • Recruitment on boarding and training of volunteer staff.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities • Experience coordinating volunteers. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required. • Must be able to interact positively with children and adults with the ability to recognize issues and resolve them independently. • Some knowledge of recreation programming is needed. • Must be able to work outside in hot and cold weather. • Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
Minimum Required Qualification (Education and Experience)

The Recreation Supervisor is a full time, exempt position. The position will assist in the operation of the FLASH Before & After School Program and Summer Day Camp. They will oversee Youth Basketball Leagues and Sports Party Rentals at the Community Pavilion. They will oversee Trips at the Oak View Center. This position will act as the Volunteer Coordinator for the district.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited university with a Bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related discipline. At least two years of work experience in the field of recreation is desirable.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR
The Recreation Supervisor reports to the Pavilion General Manager and the Oak View General Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Assist in the daily the operations of the FLASH Before and After School Program and Summer Day Camp
•Plan and schedule FLASH field trips and break camps
•Order supplies and snacks.
•Assist in recruiting, hiring and training FLASH program staff.
•Manage FLASH staff scheduling.
•Hire, train and schedule staff to work Sports Parties at the Community Pavilion.
•Manage Sports Party schedule and keep up with equipment.
•Oversee K – 3rd Grade Youth Basketball League.
•Hire, train and schedule staff to facilitate league.
•Work with ref assignor to schedule referees.
•Recruit and train volunteer coaches.
•Promote and facilitate a minimum of (1) trip each season.
•Work with the PR & Marketing Department to create advertisements and promotional materials for programming on a regular basis.
•Will evaluate non-contracted programming and operations on a regular basis to insure we are meeting or exceeding the required 30% profit margin on revenue to cover overhead expenses.
•Works the Oak Lawn Park District’s Summer’s Last Blast and Halloween event.
•If a major event occurs that limits park district operations or forces a park district shut down and restricts employee from performing their normal job duties they may be assigned to duties outside of their job description as warranted by the situation.
•Assist in fulfilling agency’s mission, vision, and strategic plan, including attending any related meetings or performing any related job duties.
•Oversee volunteer program for the Oak Lawn Park District.
