We have an exciting full-time job opportunity as PARK SPECIALIST II.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: This position would be a coverage position that performs a wide variety of park maintenance tasks along with the regularly assigned duties of trash collection, managing the district-wide tree ring and landscape bed mulching program, and assisting with special projects.

In addition to the defined duties, the position will act as coverage in the absence of assigned staff due to vacation, illness, or vacancies.

Dependent on the nature of the assignment the position may direct 1 to 5 seasonal staff members.

Other duties include- special events, mowing, horticulture, inspections, snow removal, and general park maintenance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

2-3 years of park maintenance experience and the ability to operate associated equipment is preferred.

A State of Illinois Pesticide Operator’s License and Class “C” driver’s license are required within 6 months of hire.

WHEN YOU’LL WORK:

Workweek is Monday – Friday and hours are 6:30am - 3:00pm, with additional hours for snow removal and special events.

The anticipated starting pay for this non-exempt position is $42,500+ DOE. Actual salary will depend upon qualifications.
