Summer Internship - Adult/Youth Sports
Join our team this summer! Normal Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a motivated senior intern to assist with a wide range of activities and responsibilities within our Adult/Youth Sports Divisions.

Internship Details
- Paid internship: $17/hour
- Anticipated hours per week: 37.5-40 hours - Qualifies for Senior Course Credit
- Duration: May 2025-August 2025
- Division(s): Adult Sports/Youth Sports
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the scheduling and maintenance of all Town of Normal athletic fields/courts.
- Supervise select Champion Fields programming throughout the summer.
- Collaborate with Recreation Supervisors to promote/implement Parks & Recreation month activities in July 2025
- Create a communication plan for USA Fast Pitch Midwest National Tournament
- Participate in the staff evaluation process throughout the summer season
- Assist with other NPRD Special Events
- Assist in supervision of select Youth Sports events (Kid’s Triathlon, Pitch, Hit, Run, etc.)
- Assist with regular check ins and supervision of Youth Sports programs
- Design lesson plans for summer sports camps
- Oversee select Miracle field programming throughout the season
Requirements
- Student applicants must be extremely flexible in work schedule as programs/events are held daytime, evening and weekends.
