Grounds Maintenance 1 (Full-Time)

The Lombard Park District is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated individual to join our Parks Department as a full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker I. Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Parks, this position plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty and functionality of our park system. Key Responsibilities include performing mowing operations, including cutting and trimming turf areas, conducting snow removal to ensure safe access to park facilities, assisting with tree removal and trimming, maintaining and preparing ball fields for recreational use, and installing and maintaining park path systems, supporting general maintenance and upkeep of park grounds and facilities and perform additional duties as assigned to ensure high-quality park experience for the community.

Qualifications: High School Graduation or Trade School Apprentice in a related job field. Prior landscape experience is preferred.     

We offer competitive compensation with an anticipated starting pay range of $21 to $23 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The full pay range for this position is $21 to $32 per hour. Our benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a flexible spending account, a 457 plan(s), an IMRF Pension, tuition reimbursement, vacation, holidays, sick time, and personal days.
